A plan for each area
- West Loop example: Cruz Blanca, when Friday or Saturday food service past 9 p.m. matters.
- Wicker Park example: Tortello, for counter-service pasta with no advance reservation.
- Logan Square example: Daisies, for a booked dinner and separately priced pasta.
Our wider launch coverage includes Fulton Market with West Loop, and Bucktown with Wicker Park. This page uses three specific addresses within those reporting areas; it does not claim a complete survey of either combined district.
| Area example | Restaurant address | Useful verified distinction | Check before choosing |
|---|---|---|---|
| West Loop | Cruz Blanca, 904 W. Randolph St. | Official full menu until midnight Fri/Sat | Actual booking and arrival plan |
| Wicker Park | Tortello, 1746 W. Division St. | Walk-ins only, counter service | Listed 9 p.m. closing is not a kitchen cutoff |
| Logan Square | Daisies, 2375 N. Milwaukee Ave. | Dinner Tue–Sun, separate pasta prices | No regular Monday dinner; 25% charge includes gratuity |
The individual-dish prices below are in USD. Planning amounts include the named posted charge and exclude drinks and tax; Cruz Blanca and Tortello also exclude gratuity. Daisies’ charge includes gratuity.
Those rules attach to the named restaurants. They do not establish the service hours, booking habits or atmosphere of neighboring venues.
Cruz Blanca: a West Loop example for later Friday food

Cruz Blanca’s official homepage explicitly says its full menu is available until midnight on Friday and Saturday. That is stronger information for a late dinner plan than a restaurant whose website gives only its bar’s closing time. Choose this Randolph Street example when food service after 9 p.m. is a central requirement of the evening.
The chicken Cali burrito is $18 on its linked menu, with fries, avocado, crema and queso Chihuahua listed in the dish. Adding the posted 3.25% surcharge gives a $18.59 food planning amount before tax, drinks and gratuity. The charge can be removed on request. A party of five or more also has automatic 20% gratuity. Confirm the actual booking and arrival details before building the rest of the night around it.

Tortello: a Wicker Park example for an earlier pasta plan

Tortello suits a different evening: you want pasta, and you are comfortable with counter service and a walk-in seating plan. Its official site states no reservations. The $25 tortelli list burrata, butter, sage and hazelnuts; the posted 3% wellness surcharge gives a $25.75 food planning amount before drinks, tax and tip.
This is an earlier dinner choice in the comparison. Its regular listed closing time is 9 p.m., and Monday service starts at 4:30 p.m., unlike the 11:30 a.m. opening on other days. Those hours do not establish the last order the kitchen accepts. If your plans make arrival near closing likely, contact the restaurant rather than letting “Wicker Park dinner” conceal the timing problem. A walk-in policy also leaves actual seating to the evening itself.

Daisies: a Logan Square example for a reserved pasta dinner

Daisies gives the group a bookable dinner route and a menu of separately priced pastas. Its current dinner PDF lists $21 pappardelle with mushroom ragù, house cheese and basil. The 25% service charge brings that food example to $26.25 before drinks and tax; the menu says gratuity and fees are included and no additional tip is expected.
Choose this example if a reservation is more useful to your evening than an entirely walk-in plan. Dinner normally runs Tuesday through Sunday, with later listed closing on Friday and Saturday; Monday lunch and cafe service do not establish Monday dinner. The published dinner hours are not a verified late kitchen cutoff, so this guide does not treat Daisies as an interchangeable late-food alternative to Cruz Blanca. Match the actual date, order and service.

Choose the address before adding the rest of the evening
These individual main examples are not equal portions or complete meal packages. Once you add drinks, another course or a larger party, calculate from that restaurant’s actual menu and policies. Do not use one dish to declare an entire neighborhood inexpensive.
Place the dinner address alongside where everyone is coming from and what they want to do afterward. This guide does not establish travel times, parking availability or a neighborhood-wide noise level. Those are separate facts to check when they matter to the plan.
For more detail, use West Loop dinner alternatives, Wicker Park dinner without a reservation, or Logan Square visitor dinner. Start with later verified food service, walk-in counter-service pasta or a booked pasta dinner. Then choose the neighborhood attached to the meal you actually want.
