Savoury Weekend Brunch On Ossington: Count The Sides

Two CAD 24 croque madames on Ossington do not buy the same order: Manita lists salad with its sandwich, while Paris Paris lists home fries separately at CAD 7. Union’s recently posted CAD 25 Swiss Train Ride includes rosti, with the extra uncertainty of a changing daily menu. If you want a savoury weekend brunch, start with those differences. This guide compares the actual sandwiches, accompaniments and service starts at three Ossington addresses, so you can choose the sandwich you want and see whether the side is already paid for.

Official menus checked October 14, 2026. These are individual food-order examples before tax, tip, drinks or other additions. CAD 31 is our arithmetic for one sandwich plus one side, not a named restaurant package. Similar sandwich names do not establish matching sizes. Union’s example is tied to its dated menu; Paris Paris currently links a Spring 2026 brunch PDF, which should be reconfirmed for your weekend.

Manita For A Croque With Salad And A Mushroom Alternative

At Manita’s Ossington location, the linked 2026 daytime menu lists a CAD 24 Croque Madame with Gruyère, Dijon mornay sauce, Parisian ham, a fried egg and salad. A mushroom version at the same price substitutes cremini and oyster mushrooms. That gives companions a shared style of meal even when one person does not want ham; ask the restaurant directly about any specific dietary requirement.

If you want to spend less on the main, the breakfast sandwich is CAD 18, with an English muffin, egg, cheddar, bacon and braised kale. The menu does not list salad or fries with that breakfast sandwich, so do not transfer the croque’s inclusion to it. Breakfast runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Use the Ossington Resy reservation page and 210 Ossington Avenue. The Rosedale restaurant is a separate branch with a separate menu.

Union For Rosti And A Menu You Recheck

Union is the choice for the person willing to choose from the day’s brunch, rather than promise a fixed sandwich weeks in advance. The menu posted under Lunch when we checked was explicitly Brunch, Sunday October 11, 2026. Its CAD 25 Swiss Train Ride combines Paris ham, Swiss cheese, fried egg, béchamel and rosti. The CAD 24 leek-and-double-cream-brie quiche lists both rosti and green salad.

Those inclusions make it a useful comparison with the nearby croques, but the dated examples are not a guarantee for the next service. The restaurant says its menu changes daily. Weekend brunch runs 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at 72 Ossington Avenue; official reservations are linked from its site. The posted brunch menu adds 20% gratuity for groups of six or more. Choose Union when that changing selection is welcome, and open the latest menu before booking if a particular dish is the reason for going.

Paris Paris For The Truffle-Cream Version From 11

The brunch menu linked by Paris Paris gives its CAD 24 Croque Madame a different composition: ham and gouda, truffle cream and a fried egg. At 146 Ossington Avenue, that order does not list the salad that accompanies Manita’s croque, or the rosti on Union’s Swiss Train Ride. If home fries are part of your ideal brunch, they are a separate CAD 7 line, bringing the food example to CAD 31.

This is the choice when those sandwich ingredients appeal, with the side decision made consciously. For a different savoury order, the linked menu lists a CAD 23 falafel Scotch egg with pepper yogurt and salad. The restaurant’s authorized booking page posts weekend brunch 11 a.m.–3 p.m. A 20% pre-tax gratuity applies to parties of six or more under the brunch menu. The sandwich and side are individual orders, so companions can make different choices without sharing a platter.

Choose The Side Before Adding Another Order

At 10 a.m., Manita and Union provide the published starts for this plan; Paris Paris opens its weekend brunch at 11. Manita is the clearest croque-with-salad comparison, Union supplies the rosti examples on a changing menu, and Paris Paris gives you the truffle-cream sandwich with potatoes priced separately. None is a promise of a table being free when you arrive. Check the booking route and terms for the date you choose.

We researched these recommendations from official menus, operating information and the restaurant-linked booking service on October 14, 2026. We have not visited or tasted these brunches. Check the latest menu before committing to a dish, especially at Union.
