Your Ossington First Choice Is Booked: Choose A Backup By The Meal You Want

When your first-choice reservation does not work, decide which part of dinner you want to keep: the food, the time or the street. These Ossington alternatives offer separate pizzas, a shared bistro order or a restaurant-chosen Malaysian menu. They are options to check, not claims that a table is available tonight.

The useful backup may ask you to change the meal rather than simply move the booking. Before opening another reservation page, agree on the order and the spending commitment. That prevents a successful table search from turning into a dinner neither person wanted.

Make The Backup Specific

  • Keep Individual Choices: Check Bar Libretto for a pizza each.
  • Keep A Shared Dinner: Paris Paris offers fish and chicken sharing plates.
  • Change To A Restaurant-Chosen Menu: Soos’s Feed Me option is CAD65 per person, with whole-table participation.

What Changes When You Switch

Prices are CAD for two people, excluding drinks, dessert, tax and tip. Suggested à la carte orders contain different quantities from the Feed Me menu. They are spending examples, not equivalent portions or promises of fullness.

What Changes When You Switch
AlternativeFood example for twoPublished food amountBefore you accept a booking
Bar LibrettoMargherita 19 + Funghi 21 + focaccia and olives 949Published service Wednesday–Sunday
Paris ParisSea bass 35 + half chicken 31 + bread 9 + fries 1489A restaurant reservation does not secure its patio

The right comparison is what you are agreeing to buy. A change from individual pizzas to a restaurant-curated sharing menu is a change in dinner, even if both happen on the same street.

Bar Libretto: Keep The Pizza-Each Plan

221 Ossington Ave · Ossington, toward Dundas Street West

Bar Libretto belongs on this backup shortlist because it lets two people keep separate food choices. The official menu lists a CAD19 Margherita and CAD21 Funghi, the latter a white pizza with cremini and gorgonzola crema. With focaccia and olives at CAD9, the suggested food subtotal is CAD49.

Check it when the original plan was a straightforward pizza dinner and neither person wants to convert the evening into a shared set menu. If you were hoping for a sequence of restaurant-selected dishes, this is a different proposition.

Its official branch page lists Wednesday–Sunday service and links the correct Ossington booking page. Monday and Tuesday therefore call for another option. The reservation provider still uses the Pizzeria Libretto name; match the 221 Ossington address rather than choosing another location by accident.

Paris Paris: Keep Sharing, Change The Dishes

146 Ossington Ave · Ossington, near Foxley Street

For two diners who still want food for the table, Paris Paris offers a bistro-based alternative. Its currently linked dinner menu lists Mediterranean sea bass at CAD35 and roasted half chicken at CAD31 in the sharing-plates section. Add bread and whipped butter at CAD9 and fries at CAD14 for a CAD89 food subtotal.

That order makes sense when you both want fish and chicken as dinner’s centre. It does not reproduce another restaurant’s tasting menu, and the suggested food subtotal leaves drinks separate. Review the dishes together before deciding the new booking solves the original problem.

The restaurant publishes service every day. Use its official reservations page for the date and party size. If outdoor seating was the reason for your first choice, note the restaurant’s OpenTable policy: the patio operates first come, first served, with no patio-specific reservations.

Soos: Use Notify Or Commit To The Sharing Menu

94 Ossington Ave · Ossington, toward Queen Street West

Soos offers two different paths when dinner planning has stalled. Its reservation instructions recommend Resy’s Notify option when no suitable dining time appears. A notification lets you check a newly offered table; you still need to complete the booking.

If you do choose Soos, agree on the menu commitment first. Feed Me is CAD65 per person, or CAD130 for a pair, and the whole table participates. The restaurant describes a selection of savoury dishes chosen for the group. The à la carte menu also lists dishes such as char kway teow with prawns and egg, but that does not establish what your Feed Me selection will contain.

Soos serves Wednesday–Sunday and allots 1.75 hours to tables of two. Its 24-hour cancellation policy lists fees of CAD25 per person Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, or CAD30 Friday and Saturday. Check the current terms before holding a reservation you are unsure you will use.

Decide Whether To Wait Or Switch

Keep your first choice’s notification active if your date is flexible and its menu is the point of the evening. If the time is fixed, look for a restaurant whose order you would be happy to choose on its own. Nearby geography does not make two menus interchangeable.

Avoid collecting speculative reservations. Before accepting a replacement, read both bookings’ cancellation terms and release the one you will not use in time. Soos’s published fees show why this detail belongs in a dining decision, not just in the small print after checkout.

For a pizza each, start with Bar Libretto’s actual service days. For a shared fish-and-chicken order, check Paris Paris. For a restaurant-chosen Malaysian dinner, review Soos’s Feed Me commitment and Notify route. Choose the backup you would want even if it were your first booking.
